I've been noticing a wedding trend, lately, of creating beautiful backdrops, for both ceremony and reception. This is not the tulle swathed look of days gone by. Rather, there are fabulous paper flowers, pinwheels, and cranes. And even a projection of a tree arbor, which has a sort of theatrical quality. What a lovely way to transform a space!

i heart vintage perfume ads

Vintage perfume ads are just so glamorous... So dreamy, so romantic, so ethereal...

I don't wear perfume these days, just my favorite scented lotions from Bath & Body Works (I stocked up on them before leaving the U.S.). But I still like to catch a whiff of some tantalizingly feminine perfume, and I certainly enjoy looking at beautiful vintage ads like these. (I've also shown vintage cosmetics ads, as you may have noticed--as they are just as pretty!)

i heart stripes

I'm craving a striped 3/4 sleeve top, preferably grey and/ or navy blue. After seeing Audrey Tautou wearing a striped top in the film "Coco" about Coco Chanel, I've been wanting one. So chic, non? I especially like the top with the adorable bow on the back.

Even more fab would be a full-skirted striped cotton sundress, like the one featured in the vintage pic above. But that would have to wait until warm weather returns, I suppose.

As you probably know, Karl Lagerfeld not only designs fabulous clothing for Chanel and his own line, he also takes gorgeous photographs, like these. I'm entranced by the beauty and glamour of these images.
